 The club to the museum On the 9th of April 2000 the "Interessengemeinschaft für Nummernschilder, Verkehrs- und Zulassungsgeschichte e.V." in short Nummernschilder e.V. (means license plate club) was founded. This non-profit club will build and later operate the museum and the archives. Scientific research and documentation of the development of license plates and registration history are some of the main topics in which the club will be active. It will also do public relations work, publish a members newsletter, as well as information on license plate history. A yearly meeting is also planned.
